KNALGEEL builds a digital reference guide

Helping ALS patients better

Wat ALS

Clear explanations,
body part by body part

Wat ALS is a digital reference guide with information about every body part that can be affected by the muscle disease ALS. For each body part, users find clear explanations of how ALS affects it and what that means.

The goal is as simple as it is important: giving patients, loved ones and care providers accessible, reliable information. No medical jargon that leaves you even more lost, but calm explanations the moment you ask for them.

One place where you understand, body part by body part, what ALS does.

Wat ALS reference guide
01
The challenge

Reliable information, understandable for everyone

ALS affects the whole body, but the information about it is often scattered and not always easy to access. The challenge was to bring that knowledge together in one place and make it understandable body part by body part: for patients, their loved ones and the care providers supporting them.

02
What we built

A digital reference guide, built up body part by body part

We built a digital reference guide organised around the body. For each body part you find clear explanations of how ALS affects it and what that means in practice. That way you can look up exactly what matters to you at that moment, without having to wade through a mountain of information first.

03
The result

Accessible knowledge, at the moment it counts

The result is a place where patients, loved ones and care providers find accessible, reliable information about ALS. Body part by body part, in plain language and the moment you ask for it. A small but meaningful aid for a disease that demands so much.
